10 Things to Do In Bar Harbor Maine

Well, our vacation is officially over and as we’re headed down the highway back to New York, I’ve decided to compile my fave five highlights of our trip to Maine. Thanks to my friend Jennie at Baby Name Wizard, I was armed and ready with her family’s favorite things to do in Bar Harbor and I have to say, Jennie was right on the money. So this list will include a few of Jennie’s picks sprinkled in with our fave finds. Take a look…

A Letter to Chelsea Clinton from One Daughter of an Amazing Working Mom to Another…

Dear Chelsea,
I want to start by telling you how sorry I am that your mom was unable to realize her dream Tuesday night to become the first woman in our nation to become the president of the United States. As millions of women, I am shocked, saddened and dismayed by the outcome of the election but I thought I would take the time to tell you that as your mom’s daughter, the fight will never end. It has only just begun.

When it’s Time to Admit You’re Doing Too Much

I’ve been finding myself working nearly all hours of the day and night. I sleep with my phone next to my bed, so the minute I wake up in the morning, I check my text messages and emails to make sure I haven’t missed any work while I was asleep. You see, we recently took on a new client that’s in a time zone that’s nine hours ahead of us – which means they’re working while we’re sleeping which means my perception of a nine to five work schedule has officially gone out the window.

CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIPPING: THE MALIBU WINE SAFARI

I’ve been to California nearly one dozen times and most of my visits have included a stop to memorable sites like the Hollywood Sign, Grauman’s Chinese Theater or the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum. Little did I know that a beautiful drive up the Pacific Coast Highway would take me to one of the most beautiful wineries I’ve ever seen in my life – and trust me, as a wine lover, I have seen a lot of vineyards but nothing comes close to this one. I first found out about the Malibu Wine Safari through the Los Angeles Tourism Bureau and have to say that the moment I checked out their website, I was hooked. I mean, who wouldn’t love going on an outdoor adventure that included some light hiking, the chance to meet famous animals, and sampling wine and cheese along the way amidst a backdrop that was absolutely majestic.

Hate Going to the Gym? Then Buy A Peloton!

I don’t know about you, but I hate going to the gym. I hate feeling self conscious. I hate going to a class and feeling like the most out of shape person there. I hate seeing my reflection in the mirrors and I hate screaming kids in locker rooms and I hate walking into a spin class and thinking there’s a bike available but in reality, three quarters of the bikes are broken and a lot of the participants are on their third class of the morning and they’re not going anywhere.

Ellie Krieger Talks about the Importance of Gut Health #RenewLifeProbiotics

When it comes to health, there are certain instances in your life that stop you dead in your tracks. For me and my daughter, there’s only one thing that can keep us from cruising through our busy lives — gastrointestinal pain. While I don’t talk about it among friends or strangers for that matter, I typically don’t have many issues when it comes to my gut. But when I do, I pretty much dread that feeling where all you do is pray the pain will stop and you vow never to eat whatever got you into that mess in the first place.
