Beth became a “Role Mommy” on April 4, 1999 when she gave birth to Rebecca, who took 48 hours to make her grand entrance into the world and has been a firecracker ever since.  Beth’s son, Dylan was born three weeks early on May 13, 2002 when she was juggling the cast of “CSI,” the finale of  “The Amazing Race” and an “Extra” feature story with Jerry Stiller from “The King of Queens.”  She still fondly remembers the day she went into labor – shooting emails to her assistant and clutching the wall between contractions.

As Beth prepared to return back to the workforce the first time around, she decided to present an idea to her bosses…would they consider allowing her to telecommute two days a week if she could still manage her workload and be on hand for meetings and talent appearances.  After a six-week tryout, Beth passed the test and has been telecommuting ever since.  In fact, her actions paved the way for several more working moms in her department who have chosen to stay at CBS rather than give up their careers because they have been given the opportunity to work from home.

Today, Beth, her husband Darin, their two children, two cats, two hermit crabs and a lizard named Guapo, live in Westchester, NY, just a few blocks away from the fictional home of Rob and Laura Petrie. But the only thing Beth shares in common with stay at home mom Laura is the 1950’s split colonial that she has since renovated…but we digress. Beth loves the chaotic existence of being a working mom and is perfectly content with her fly by the seat of her pants approach to parenting.

Prior to launching her own companies, Feldman was Vice President of the CBS Communications Group, where she spearheaded publicity campaigns connected to programming-related initiatives for the CBS Marketing Group, cbs.com and upn.com and CBS Consumer Products.

During her 11 year career at CBS, Feldman has worked on publicity campaigns on behalf of CSI, COLD CASE, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (including the season finale campaign), JUDGING AMY, THE AMAZING RACE and THE KING OF QUEENS, the movies “The Elizabeth Smart Story” and “Gleason” and the specials “CMA Awards” and “ACM Awards.”

Feldman is also a freelance writer who has written human-interest features for several New York based publications including Newsday, Westchester Parent magazine, Westchester Family, Big Apple Parent and New York Family magazine.   She has also appeared on numerous television shows as a working mother expert including:  Good Morning America, Nightline, Entertainment Tonight, ABC News’ “Real Moms Get Real,”  “Inside Edition,” “Fox & Friends,” the PIX Morning News, News12 Westchester, among others.

Beth Feldman holds a masters degree in journalism (with a specialization in magazine publishing) from New York University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts.
