Treated Like Royalty at the New York Palace

IMG_0585.JPGWhile the world awaits the arrival of a little prince or princess, one can only imagine the life that child is going to lead – growing up in a royal palace while traveling the world with his spectacular dad and gorgeous mom. Although I may never get to curtsy for the Queen, I can officially say that I did get to experience an evening where I was treated like royalty along with some of the most inspiring people I know while hosting a cocktail party in the Royal Suite at the New York Palace.
The event, which was held in celebration of the hotel’s 140 million dollar renovation which will be officially unveiled this fall, gave an exclusive group of bloggers, media gurus, marketing mavens, event planners and authors the opportunity to mix and mingle in a four bedroom suite while dining on delectable dishes, desserts and drinks, compliments of the New York Palace catering team.
Perched high above Manhattan’s metropolitan bustle on the 45th floor, the palatial four bedroom Royal Suite features 3,600 square feet of classic opulence and state of the art amenities. Rococo rooms revive French period décor, from the King Louis XV to the Napoleon eras, all furnished with luxurious silks and emblazoned with imperial golds. Brilliantly curated objects of art beautify your experience at every turn, while integrated design and technology details meet the highest standards of contemporary comfort and convenience.

While the Royal Suite is the perfect place to step back into the world of classic New York elegance, the hotel is in the process of renovating The Towers’ Rooms & Suites. The Towers is a separate and distinct part of The New York Palace, occupying the hotel’s top 14 floors. With a private reception area, accessible from the main lobby, the Towers come
complete with a dedicated Les Clefs d’Or concierge team, exclusively for The Towers guests. Elevators transport guests to floors 41 through 53, which house luxurious accommodations with spectacular skyline views.

From the luxe new lighting touches to the eclectic mix of materials and furniture, The Towers’ updated rooms and suites will invoke a decidedly ‘home away from home’ feel for its sophisticated clientele. A soft, subdued color palette places the main emphasis on one of the best features of The Towers – the breathtaking city views from the suites’ windows. Pops of color will also come from the mixed media artwork that adorn the walls, selected by art advisor Nancy Sweeney. Strong geometric elements punctuate the furniture, carpet, and textiles in the renovated rooms.
And let’s not forget the spectacular food! If you are planning a milestone event — from a wedding, baby shower, romantic proposal, honeymoon, anniversary or girlfriend getaway, while you’re being pampered by the incredibly attentive and friendly staf, you can dine in two restaurants or have your event catered with food provided by world renowned chefs.
The New York Palace’s new restaurant partner is Washington-based French Chef Michel Richard. Richard will contribute two new F&B spaces – Villard Michel Richard and Pomme Palais. This partnership marks Chef Richard’s New York debut.
