America has chosen the final three contestants for American Idol. In another shocking elimination, James Durbin was sent home. With 72 million votes, the people have spoken, yet the disappointment among viewers was overwhelming.
The finalists for American Idol 2011 are Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart. At this point anyone can win as James was considered the favorite – at least in the judges eyes.
Lady Gaga was both the mentor this week and the musical performaner singing “You and I ” Gaga performed while standing on a piano bench in her bra and panties and for anyone else this would be considered shocking but for Gaga this has become the norm.
Also performing last night was the former American Idol, Jordin Sparks who sang “I am Woman”.
