We finally have a winner in our “Oh Brother!” Is Your Kid a Character contest. After receiving lots of great entries, our judges cast their votes and the winner of the contest is Chiara, a 7 year old from Columbia, MO whose mom shared the following funny tidbit about her daughter:
“My kid is a character because she can always turn a bad situation into a good one. Her random funniness is what gets me through my day. Last week we were talking and she said ‘Mom I’m never getting married and I asked her why and she said ‘because boys like to take your paycheck and play video games all day and I don’t have time for it Mom!'”
In the coming weeks, Chiara will get the chance to be featured in an upcoming “Oh Brother!” comic strip which will be syndicated by King Features in newspapers nationwide. The comic strip will also be featured on Role Mommy and in the May issue of Project You Magazine. Our runners up will receive a comic stip autographed by Oh Brother! creators Bob Weber Jr. and Jay Stephens. Check out all our runners up and thanks to everyone for entering this fun contest and to our judges for casting their votes! Make sure you visit the Oh Brother! website for fun games and the chance to upload your own artwork. And make sure you read the Oh Brother! comic strip in your local newspaper!

Tweets & Facebook Posts of the Week
Since I spend half my day being distracted by tweets and Facebook posts, I’ve decided to compile the top three for the week that caught my attention…
1. The @BronxZoosCobra. Ever since a deadly snake went on the lam at the Bronx Zoo, someone who must be an aspiring comedy writer created a twitter handle for the slithery creature and amassed over 228,000 followers in a matter of days! They finally captured the snake and this undercover Tweeter made the news.
2. Betty White is going to host her own reality show. This one came from Facebook by way of MSNBC. No matter how I found out, I am so getting my senior citizen parents and their friends to audition for this new show about seniors. Honestly, if they shot the whole thing at my parent’s retirement community in Bonyton Beach, Florida, they’d probably attract millions of viewers.
3. The Oprah Live Tweet-up. The Queen of Talk Shows actually live tweeted during her behind the scenes show on OWN. Coolest thing about that show was seeing Jill Van Lokeren – an amazing producer who I knew from way back when since we both started out at The Maury Povich Show. Kudos to Oprah for tweeting back to real people and for whoever convinced her to do it. Nicely done! Meanwhile, this week, we get to see Hugh Jackman injure his eye while zip-lining onto the stage. Never a dull moment with Oprah!
Have any Tweets or Facebook posts you’d like to share? We’d love to hear about them!
