Alma’s Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe

shrimpstirfry.jpgHow frustrating to be hungry and have no ingredients with which to make dinner? Keep some frozen shrimp on hand and you won’t succumb to the greasy take out Chinese on the corner. This recipe is easy and delicious. Enjoy!
Shrimp Stir Fry:
2 cups shrimp,steamed and peeled
2 cups broccoli florets, steamed slightly (some of it taken from my kids plate after they wouldn’t eat it)
8 oz small cubed tofu
1/4 cup chopped or whole peanuts
1-2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp hot sauce like sriracha or Chinese garlic-chili sauce
2 tsp sesame oil (separated)
In a medium sized frying pan, heat up one tsp sesame oil and toss in the cooked shrimp, broccoli and tofu. Heat up until warm, a few minutes, stirring all the while.
Add in the soy sauce, hot sauce and remaining sesame oil. Stir until coated and top with the peanuts and sesame seeds.
Serve with brown rice or noodles. Yum!

Toy Story 3 Animated Short

Get ready to smile when you check out this hilarious clip from the new “Toy Story 3” animated short that’ll air right before the premiere of the new Disney Cars 2 movie. Anything with Barbie and Ken makes me wax nostalgic for my preteen (yes preteen now tween) years!
