I'm Feeling Gymtimidated and I just Hate It

I recently joined a fancy new gym that's the size of two city blocks and I was really psyched when I first tried it out. The place was enormous and there's never a wait for any of the cardio equipment and at first, I really liked it.

Forget summer bodies, here's how to get in shape for life

With warmer weather truly on the way, you might be tempted to go all out to achieve the perfect summer body. The trouble is, taking this short-term approach to getting in shape can be a recipe for yo-yo weight loss and a lifelong battle with the bulge. Making the Switch to Teami Teas

I'm not quite a coffee junkie, but there are times when I think I'm pretty close to crossing that line. While there's no chance I'm going to give up my addiction, I have found myself expanding a bit more into...

Say Hi to Summer Thighs with CoolSculpting®

Social Asset 2_Concept 3_A.jpg

here is one thing that my husband cannot stand about me during the summer time. While the weather might be sweltering outside, I can always be found covering up my less than favorite body parts. The biggest offenders are my calves, knees and my thighs. For as long as I can remember, I've hated my lower body. I've been blessed with a small waist but have inherited the genes of my European born grandmothers, I am a pear through and through. I do not have the body of a ballet dancer. Rather, I have the frame of a potato farmer.

I am definitely guilty of this, are you? A new survey of women who want to lose weight finds that, on average, women have 14 items of clothing in their closets that don't fit. The reason? "FED UP" Opens My Eyes to What's Been Sabotaging My Diet & and My Health

Over the last year, I've put on a few extra pounds and have been a bit depressed. After trying ever diet on the planet -- from Jenny Craig, to Weight Watchers, to a juice cleanse, I really never understood why I couldn't just exercise and eat sensible meals and stay at a weight where I feel comfortable about my arms, my legs and everything in between. But alas, no matter what I do, I typically lose weight, keep it off for a few months and then I return right back to where I started with a few extra pounds I need to shed.

Tips for Staying Healthy Through The Holiday Season

MommyCoach Logo.png

Plan Non-Food-Centered Activities: Take the focus off food. There are so many ways to spend time together besides cooking, baking, and eating. Instead of decorating cookies and gingerbread houses, make non-edible crafts like wreaths, paper snowflakes, or holiday cards. Bundle up to take a walk around the neighborhood and rank the best decorated houses. And light a fire to gather around while you play charades or watch holiday movies.

44 Memories....Dance Class

Along my trip down memory lane, I've realized that there are some things that really miss. And one of those things is dancing. When you are the parent of a teen or tween, if you attempt to dance in front of them, they will cringe, cover their eyes and beg you to stop. And so, I've learned that some of the things I used to love to do without anyone criticizing me (singing and dance) has been temporarily banned by my children. And to be completely honest, I am not happy about it.

It's 4 O'Clock Somewhere: Time for a Chocolate Break

I live for chocolate. There, I said it...and it feels good. Especially since they say it's perfectly fine to have a piece very day, I'm always on the lookout for a sweet treat in the late afternoon that will tide me over until dinner time.
