Here at Role Mommy, we love to be in the know on products that haven't even hit stores yet. Why follow the trends when you can be a trendsetter and that's exactly what New Balance plans to do with tween-agers like my daughter by introducing NB Fierce Trax.
Inspired by the cheetah, the 900 is the FIRST kids shoe to utilize N-ergy cushioning technology for a smooth transition and impact force distribution. The kids-only NB GRIP outsole technology is combined with an aggressive, paw-inspired turf outsole to provide slip resistant footing and animal-like traction. My fifth grader received her NB Fierce Trax sneakers last week and the moment she slipped them on, she was in love. Considering I've compared her taste in footwear to that of the Princess and the Pea, I was very happy that the sneakers not only fit, but they were incredibly comfortable too.
So far, Becca has worn her NB Fierce Trax to gym, basketball practice and while hanging out with friends. But the sneakers are not only comfy, they actually look pretty stylish too. Becca's NB Fierce Trax are ice blue and if they had them in a 7 1/2, I'd buy myself a pair too (incidentally, the sizes go up to a 7).

Well, I don't have a tween, but I do have small feet and and a worn out pair of sneakers, so these would be great. I love the cheetah-inspired design and the high traction.

OK, my daughter is WAY too young for these, but they come in my size - so I can I enter for me? :) I heart this shoe, and I'm in need of new shoes for dashing around the park chasing after my daughter and keeping the dogs in line. And, I really dig the grey & purple colors that you have shown up above - it almost looks like leopard print!
