Win a Virtual Assistant and a Free Hotel Room!

This week, Hyatt Place released the results of a national study revealing that the number of Americans struggling with work-life balance has nearly doubled to 71 percent since 2006. While a struggle to achieve work-life balance is not new, the study pointed out why that balance is no longer achievable. Rather than compartmentalize their life, the average 2010 American is instead multitasking all day, every day (hello - that would be me!).

A few interesting statistics included:

· 83 percent of Americans state that they often take care of work matters from home

· 59 percent state that they often handle personal matters at work

· 62 percent of respondents say that they are 'constantly multitasking

· On average, someone working from home is doing five tasks simultaneously

Hyatt Place first identified this multitasking lifestyle as an emerging audience when it launched in 2006 and built its hotels to meet the needs of this specific group. Now, Hyatt Place wants to help Americans stay productive in their everyday life. To help guests balance work and home responsibilities, Hyatt Place has partnered with TaskUs.com, a virtual personal assistant service, to give away 2 months of service to 20 lucky winners in a national sweepstakes starting next week. And here at Role Mommy, two lucky readers will finally get some much needed help with their busy lives that includes the personal assistant service and a 2 night stay at Hyatt Place!

Oh could I ever use this! Well, for starters I work from home - so sometimes things slide. If I could get some love to get me back on track, well, wouldn't that be amazing. So 2 days worth of a virtual assistant from TaskUs.com? Are you kidding? Sign me up!

Most importantly - ooh the 2 night stay at Hyatt Place! PLEASE! My husband and I desperately need this to get away! We are expecting our 2nd child in August and oh, this could be our babymoon! We haven't had a get away that was JUST US since our son was born in January 2008. Can you see how much we need this? I should probably be writing a blog entry for the 2nd See Mom Run.

So Rolemommy, I am pretty desperate here. For my sanity, oh, this is so deserved! I am a hard working mommy who just needs a little love!

Thank you! Thank you!
XOXO

ps I have a toddler, I can do SIX things at once, not five.

OMG! I work from home and jumped right back into work after baby #2 was born. As in 2 weeks after. I've been running non-stop until about 3 weeks ago when I CRASHED! It was inevitable.

Hubby works Sun-Thurs so that I can work Fri & Sat. We're like 2 ships passing in the night. If I could have a virtual assistant just do some work for me, maybe my home won't look like a wreck. Dishes are piled up, not knowing what to make for dinner.

I don't remember the last movie DH & I saw together without the kids. I would love a mini-vacay to lounge naked in bed with him!

I am starting my own business and I could really use the research and report. I would love to have someone research the different venues that I need researched since that is the biggest time eater ever.

I am also planning a trip to Austin next month and could really use the two night stay.

Thanks so much!

This will be a good start for a well deserved vacation

Could really use another set of hands around the house with 4 children at home!

As a professional organizer, it's always the case of needing to follow your own advice - I'd love a virtual assistant to help me cross off some of my burgeoning to do list and help me grow my business to the next level!

And the stay at Hyatt Place sounds lovely. With two early rising pre-schoolers at home, getting away with my husband for a weekend would be amazingly appreciated!

As a single mother who works and blogs and wears half a dozen other hats, usually at the same time, this would be an opportunity for me to clean up alot of things that sit staring me from my over-cluttered "to-do" pile and set me on the road to re-orgnaization that I really need in order to become better overall at everything!

Two nights away on Hyatt would be the thing that I need to steal away a little "me" time in order to rediscover the romantic and female side of who Wendy is...a side that sometimes gets lost around the raising a teenage daughter.

I have wanted to try this service since I heard about it last year. I am an author and publicist. I work out of my home office, am a single mom who juggles it all. I love being creative and all of the paperwork and administrative tasks bogs me down. I would love to share with all of my subscribers, clients and media contacts as to why they can use a virtual assistant as us work at home businesses would really benefit!

The Hyatt would be such a wonderful perk to get away for a nice weekend with my significant other as we both have kids and it is rare that we get a night away between parenting and work!

I travel a lot and often don't have internet access while I'm gone, it would be great to have an assistant to make sure that I'm still holding a social media presence while I'm off "unplugged" somewhere else!

My husband is in the process of starting an online business and there is never enough time in the day to get everything done. I have been trying to help but with a baby and a preschooler I rarely get time to sit down and work when it is quiet, so the Virtual Assistant would be great to do some editing and proofreading of content we have. Also to do some double checking of the database and make sure we have the most current contact info for people.

Because of my husbands work schedule we have not gone on vacation in over a year, it would be great to win the two nights and use it at the new Hyatt Place that is opening here in Seattle and take a little vacation while still close enough that he can get to customers if he needs to.

heathcare has finally passed, and to celebrate it
I would like very much to win this beautiful stay
that Mommy.com is gaving away.

With a toddler and two full time jobs, and a pending move, and currently on vacation with my toddler, I could absolutely use two nights alone and a virtual assistant!

/I am single mom with no family in the area, managing a job search, running two blogs and trying to get back on track writing a book simultaneously and trying to raise an energetic 7 year old. VA would be fantastic dealing with all the to dos on my action plan. And the two nights, oh goodness so badly needed just to have some time alone

Because time resting is too precious a commodity and one that we barely indulge in. With being a SAHM and trying to run a blog and still take care of 2 little kids while doing it on our own is a challenge. Instead of resting each night hubby and I work together on the blog since working while kids run around is almost impossible, especially when 1 is a special needs kid. Winning this would force us to take a breather.

With a Virtual Assistant, you really get a competent and reliable worker without paying more money than your business can afford.

I am just working at starting up a blog and the personal assistant would be so incredibly helpful to help me with design and social media realations.

Also, a couple of nights in a hotel would be a dream for my husband and me. He was laid off last year so we haven't been on a trip in forever. It would be so nice for the two of us to be able to get away for a weekend.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!! :)

I would love to win this because I would love the help trying to get organized. I have 2 small children and not much time to myself. It would be nice to have some help. Thanks for the chance.

As a busy wife/mom/author/speaker/entertainer, I would LOVE having a virtal assistant. And two nights by myself? WOW. My shoulders are relaxing just thinking about that! :)

I am a stay at home mom, and I do volunteer "work" almost full time from home. Between trying to manage my usual household chores, events, and meetings I sometimes feel like I am running around like a maniac, and then I miss deadlines or appointments!

Winning this prize would help get me into a groove, and two nights out of the house with my husband and daughter for a mini-vacation would be awesome. Sometimes I don't think I ever leave my zip code!

Forgot to add, I retweeted with the link above, and my Twitter ID is - TriciaInRaleigh

I could really use this! I am always complaining that my days could be 48 hours long and I still wouldn't get everything done. A virtual assistant would take some of that off my plate! And they relaxation from the nights at Hyatt Place would be the icing on the cake! Here's my tweet: http://twitter.com/ThriftyJinxy/status/10956658206

Like everyone else I am sure things have been hectic aorund here and I could use some time away with the family when we aren't bogged down by the day to day and we oculd just enjoy each other. I would have the assistant do some research for in regards to a project I am going to be starting in May.

I could use this in starting a few new businesses and being a sahm. THe HYATT can be used many different ways! My husband will be going on TDY for three months at a time and this would be nice to have a visit with...also,we're always visiting family, this can be stressful, it be nice to be able to have a few days to our selves.

Thank you Role Mommy for offering such a fantastic contest. I am a full time mommy of a 6 and 4 year old whose adoption was finalized last year. They are the center of my world. As much as I love to spend all my free time with them, I must also balance being a mommy with being a wife, housekeeper, demands at kids school, volunteering and being a full time employee in a profession that more than occassionally requires me to bring my work home. It was really interesting hearing the statistics regarding people who feel they are not achieving a good work life balance. It is a hot topic at a seminar I will be attending next month. I am always telling my husband there is not enough of me to go around. I rarely have a free moment for myself. I either need a clone or I say life would be good if they added more hours to the day, but my husband laughs and says you would fill those too. Then I saw this contest for a virtual personal assistant. How wonderful! This would be so helpful to take the burden of me for a few months. I appreciate you offering this contest and whether I win or not, I thank you for bringing up what I see to be huge issue not only for moms struggling to do it all but the kids who also desire to spend more time with their family. My email is OCPacific10@aol.com I am not to good at twitter / tweeting but I did add this under my twitter page UAtravelgirl Thanks

I have been interested since I first heard about this service! Who in the world couldn't use this help!
I have no ME time and could use some virtual assistance!

I totally need a get away with my husband! We have 3 children, a 3 year old, a 2 year old & my youngest will be one in April!
My husband and I got married 2 years ago on Feb. 29th! So we haven't had our first anniversary yet since it only comes every 4 years. We were engaged for a week but didn't tell anyone until 2 days before since at first we were just going to elope. Our wedding was very unique, we only had about 25 people there and our wedding cake was a simple birthday cake bought at Walmart earlier that day. The food that was served was mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers!
Needless to say we didn't have a honeymoon. Now two years later I am a stay at home mom and I keep busy! I would love to go back to school but with our low income even if my husband got a second job we still couldn't afford day care. Please oh please pick me! I really need a vacation!

I could use this because right now I am juggling a full time job and my last semester of graduate school - plus we just bought a house and adopted a dog, so there is plenty of work to go around!

I could use this for many reasons.
Stress is unbelievable sometimes.
Lost our sweet daughter 7 years ago, that never changes, but it does change you and your family. Always a sadness there now.
Husband has had his own business for years but now we are struggling to get enough work. Pretty bad where we live. This adds more stress to both of us.
We are both getting older and have health issues and struggle to stay well. He has had a heart attack and I have arthritis. We walk every day and try to eat well;I cook from scratch.
My kids have health issues and financial issues also. It just never seems to end. Grandkids also! Yikes.
It would just be nice to get away and breathe and be refreshed as we certainly cannot afford to do that now.
Just how life is for so so many these days.

Why I believe I should deserve this special gift: I've been multitasking since I was a child; and I would love to try compartmentalizing my life, and balancing my work and my home responsibilities; and I have been trying to register with Twitter for over an hour; but I keep getting this message "You can't do that right now. Sorry, please try again later.". Maybe Hyatt Place, in their partnership with TaskUs.com, could help me to achieve work-life balance! Thank you.

prizehound7@yahoo.com

I would absolutely LOVE to win this prize and surprise my fiance! He was laid off approximately one year ago this month and things have been a little hard. I work 12 hour shifts, run my own business from home, started my own blog this year and I am currently looking for a second job. My fiance is now going back to school and will have to take pre-requisite classes for a year and a half. Then he starts his RN program for two years. We are getting married next August before he goes into the RN program, but our honeymoon will have to wait. Knowing that we won't really be able to get away at all between work and school for almost 3 1/2 years, I'd love to be able to take him away for the weekend and have "us" time before it all begins.

I could also use the virtual assistant part of this prize with my home business. Who wouldn't love an assistant to help with some of the everyday tasks of a business or even for research purposes?!?

Thank you for this WONDERFUL opportunity to put in for such a great prize. I know the winner will be very happy :-)

I should deserve this special gift because I've been feeling stressed out and could use some relaxation. I tweeted about this contest at http://twitter.com/likwan/status/11124807763.
