reinvented their lives while raising a family and we're featuring Tracey Serebin, who is a Family Dynamics and Communication Specialist, Tracey has been devoted to building stronger, happier, more connected families for more than a decade.  Tracey is also founder of the website A Child's Voice.

Through her workshops, coaching, and writing, Tracey helps children and parents identify and achieve their goals, manage their fears and open their hearts and minds to endless possibilities.

As an entrepreneur, Tracey has been instrumental in building and managing large multi-million dollar businesses for over 17 years. She started her first business at 19 years old. At the age of 25, Tracey was President of a company that was the largest buyer of home furnishings accessories in the country, with Sears and Montgomery Ward as two of her clients. At 30, she and a partner started another company creating tv commercials for Car Dealers which soon became one of the top buyers of cable TV advertising in the state of Florida.

And now...let's hear from Tracey!

Role Mommy: What did you do before you became a mom?
Tracey: I had my own practice working with kids, parents and families, as well as conducting workshops and training across the country.

Role Mommy: When did you decide to reinvent your life?
Tracey: I have been building successful businesses all through my twenties and thirties, but about 6 years I reached a crossroads in my life where I didn't want to do business the way I had been doing it, and while I had always worked with kids and families on a volunteer basis, I decided to create a business that pulled both my passions together -- building businesses and helping kids/families. This way I was doing what I loved and had the flexibility to create my own schedule. Which would help me when I did start a family.

Role Mommy: How have your children influenced your career path? How many do you have?
Tracey: I have one son. Where as my career used to be the main focus in my life, once he came along, he became the light of my life. I am still striving for my goals, but I now making time to spend with him. Also, before my son I was striving to achieve success for me, now I am doing it to secure his future.

Role Mommy: What's your favorite "Time Out" tip for moms (taking time for yourself, not sending your child in a corner :>)
Tracey: Moms need their own outlets -- whether it be creative time, taking a walk around the block, going to yoga, or working out at the gym. Taking that time allows mom to recharge and clear their head, providing more patience when dealing with their children.

Role Mommy: What does your book offer moms?
Tracey: It is an inspirational book for women going through infertility treatments. There are a lot of women who may have had the first child (through invitro, infertility drugs, or just naturally and find that they are having difficulty getting pregnant with the next one) This book provides inspiration, tips and tools for women to nurture themselves through the process and a success story, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Role Mommy: What do you hope for your own kids?
Tracey: That he is happy, healthy, doing what he loves and excelling at what he is talented in.

Role Mommy: Who is your Role Mommy?
Tracey: My sitter -- she has 6 kids and also juggles watching my son during the week. She has a lot on her plate but is always patient, has a warm disposition, finds time to walk every day, and is very spiritually focused.
