Ohhhh, I covet this so much I am drooling!

What a great contest! My favorite character is Ron because he's got red hair.

I have always wanted to read these books and before long my son will be ready to read them too. We've seen the movies and love them but am really interested in experiencing the books.

My daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan. In fact, it's these books that really got her interested in reading. Before she read because she had to, because she knew the more she read, the better her reading would get. But now, she reads because she sees how the characters in the book can come to life, how the imagination can take on new heights. Now, I can't get her to stop reading. We even have a system. If a movie is coming out and a book has been written on it and she reads the book before the movie hits town, we go to the expensive movie theatre. Otherwise, we go to the $3 theatre, which of course means months after the movie has come out. Guess what she does?

Oops, I got sidetracked and forgot to tell you the favorite characters and why.

I, personally, like Hermine (sp?). I like the fact that she's so darn smart and of course, it doesn't hurt that she's also a brave little girl.

As for my daughter, she fluctuates between characters based upon their roles in each book.

Ginny is my favorite...she is the quiet brave one and one of the most honest and true characters.

I would LOVE to win this - Harry Potter books are my favorite. I'm gearing up to introduce them to my daughter. I want to make sure she's not too young and it's not too scary - it would be a shame to do it prematurely and have her be turned off to the magic.

Anyhoo, my favorite character is Harry, plucky little orphan Harry who carries the weight of the world on his little shoulders so well.

Sirious Black, AKA Padfoot, is my favorite character. He overcomes adversity by surviving Azkaban, has the history of "pal"ing around with James and Lilly, and protects Harry with his life as a parent would. I think this gives him the true parenting role (over the Weasly's or Dumbledore); being a parent myself, I identify and like this character the most.

Snape is my favorite character.

My favorite characters have to be the Weasley twins (I REALLY could not choose between the two)! Their wit and humor is amazingly brilliant, and they really complete one another, and complete the story as well. They were especially amazing during Deathly Hallows, where some of the only bright parts in the story were Fred and George's ear jokes.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I. WANT. I am totally loving the box the books come in, and the covers look terrific.
Just one favorite character, that's hard!
Hermione, because she's smart and not afraid to use her brains.
Harry, because he had no love growing up and tries to do what's right.

This is tough - there are so many great characters. I guess I would have to say Hermione, though, if I had to pick one.

oh gosh i love harry potter! Who doesnt? i always wanted my own boxed set =] I've been a devout fan for about--all my life--and im still not tired of it. I cant believe that the sixth hp movie is coming in july!!! and i was SO looking forward for it to come in november!!!!

it would definitely have to be Draco Malfoy. yes, he is quite the devilish one throughout the series, but he is a victim of the evils that he was raised in! The last two books prove that pure evil was not in the intent of true heart.

My son's and my favorite character is Harry Potter!

Gotta admit, I'm a bigger fan than the kids are, but they're pretty young and have yet to discover HP. So many good characters, it's hard to pick just one! Let's go with Albus Dumbledore. Even with all the revealed info in Deathly Hallows, there's still so much we don't know about him.

I *love* these books! I can't wait to read them with my kids when they get a little older! I have to say my favorite character, besides Harry, might be Snape. It is just amazing what J. K. Rowling does with his character!

I have been dying to read this series...sometimes I feel I alone in all the world have not delved into the paranormal scholarly pursuits at Hogswarth School of Witchcraft. MY favorite character as of now is the great Harry Potter himself.

Prisoner of Azkaban, or #3 was my favorite for excitement factor. #7 is my second favorite, when it all came to a close rather seamlessly. (The very ending left something to be desired, in my opinion.) I admire the author's gift of gab, but the later books got downright encyclopedic, without adding much to plot or character development in each installment. She sort of typecast her characters, with the exception of Hermione, the brainiac who uncharacteristically quit school and stuck by Harry at the end. Very gutsy maneuver. I wish Hermione had ended up with someone her equal, and not bumbling oafish Ron.

My sister would love this! She is a huge harry potter fan, she loves all the magic involved and how talented harry is.

Harry is my favorite since he is the hero.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I have not read any of the Harry Potter books. This would be a great opportunity to rectify that error!! :)

Ron Weasley. He is quite funny, loyal, and brave. He is willing to help Harry in his mission to destroy Voldemort and that is a sign of a true friend to help one's friends no matter what

I love Fred and George! They always have something funny up their sleeves ^^ And when it comes down to it they are truly good people who helped Harry Potter in different ways.

I have been in love with everything harry potter since its first release. Now I have been honored to host my second harry potter book release at my walmart store. We had a huge turnout with the last one I did, and I am glad I get to do it again with the december 4th release of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The nice thing that we do for the kids (…and teens…and adults), is give them something special to remember each book release day. Last time we did a costume contest, and gave the young boy who one (whom looked EXACTLY like a young harry potter) a free copy of the book. He was thrilled! And so were we to see his face expressions. We also gave away some memorablilia to another (adult) fan. So in closing, (for now) it would be nice to win the grand prize to give away and make another childs day. It is more rewarding than anything I’ve ever done.

I would have to say that Hermione Granger is my absolute favorite character. I just loved it when she ran up and punched Malfoy right in the kisser in Prisoner of Azkaban. Ahh...brings back memories! It teaches all men not to mess with muggles, mudbloods, or women of all magical or non-magical backgrounds!! Way to go Hermoine!! Whoop Whoop!
