FullSizeRender (6).jpgMy father in law has an awesome saying that I like to share whenever I get to experience things that are truly out of this world. “You can’t put a price on a good time.” Well, yesterday morning was one of those moments.
When I received the invite to the first ever Oprah’s Favorite Things blogger breakfast, I was giddy with excitement. To kick-off the holiday season, O, The Oprah Magazine features the biggest list of Oprah’s Favorite Things EVER in the December issue (on newsstands nationwide November 10th).
I think everyone who has ever watched Oprah’s show remembers that infamous episode where everyone in the audience got to take home a brand new car. “You get a car, you get a car, you get a car!” Well, I’m here to report, while I didn’t get to go home with a car, I did get hot sauce, a cozy lounge shirt with a clever saying designed by a former Oprah intern, super soft fleece gloves with a zipper to hold money and ID, a fashionista barbie doll, an iPhone case with LED lighting, foot creme that promises to turn my dry and calloused tootsies into “baby feet,” a trendy key chain made by an 18 year old girl and a muffin called a “bruffin” filled with bacon. Yum!

At the breakfast, I got to re-connect with some of my favorite blogging friends and then found myself with a permanent smile plastered across my face as Oprah’s incredibly engaging Creative Director Adam Glassman shared his enthusiasm about all of the amazing things the team was able to test and share with Oprah. Adam introduced the keeper of the O List closet who receives every item that’s up for review and then makes sure it’s ready for Oprah’s approval. We found out that some items that Adam likes doesn’t make the list because as Oprah says, “it’s the O List, not the A List” and I got to find out that one of my cousins actually made the cut too with a one of a kind cake made exclusively for Oprah Magazine that was literally out of this world.

In the issue, Oprah reveals 87 gifts for even the trickiest people on one’s holiday list. Here’s one of Adam’s favorite gifts that also won Oprah over. Gardenia’s from Hawaii that can be shipped anywhere in the country.
